The Pocket-Game

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Money, which was in someone’s pocket yesterday, is in our pocket today. And it will be in someone else’s pocket tomorrow.

This is the reality of money. It belongs to no one.

It simply moves from pocket to pocket, by the Will of Allah Ta‘ala.

What is destined to come into our pockets, will never go into someone else’s pocket.

Likewise, that which goes into the pockets of others was never meant for our pockets.

The one who has forgotten the object of his life gets caught up in the pocket-game.

Day and night, he is plotting and planning on how to empty the pockets of others.

HE HAS FORGOTTEN THAT HIS WHITE KAFAN (SHROUD) IS POCKET-LESS.

Humbleness

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Hazrat Hasan Al-Basri (Rahmatullahi ‘alayh) was sitting on the upper floor of a Masjid, reciting the Qur’aan Shareef. …Introspecting about the past and meditating on the Hereafter, his heart softened and tears gushed out from his eyes. A few tear drops fell on a person who was sitting on the ground floor of the Masjid.

Looking up, he asked Hazrat Hasan Al-Basri (Rahmatullahi ‘alayh): “Is this clean water, brother?”

Hazrat Hasan Al-Basri humbly responded: “Brother, go and clean your cloths. Those are the tears of a sinner.”

Learn to be quiet

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Learn to be quiet just as you learn to talk, because if talking guides you, being quiet protects you.

By being quiet, you attain two characteristics:

You are able to take knowledge from those more knowledgeable than you, and you are able to repel the ignorance of those more ignorant than you.

A Lesson of Faith

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

This is a true story:

In France, after picking groceries in the supermarket, a Niqabi sister stood in the line to pay. After a few minutes, her turn came up at the checkout counter.

The checkout girl was a non-Hijaabi Muslim girl, who began to scan the items of the Niqabi sister, one by one. After a while, she looked at her with arrogance and said: “We have many problems in this country and your Niqab (Face-veil) is one of them!

We, immigrants, are here for trade and not to show our Deen or history! If you want to practice your Deen and wear Niqaab,  then go back to your Arab country and do whatever you want!"

The chaste Niqabi sister stopped putting her groceries in the bag and lifted up her Niqaab…

The checkout girl was in total shock. The Niqabi girl, who was blonde with blue eyes, told her:

"I am French, from pure French descent, not an Arab immigrant. This is my country and THIS IS MY ISLAM. You born Muslims sold your Deen and we bought it from you!"
